PhreQuincy
phreQuincy (bourgeois Quincy Jefferson ) is a German hip-hop producer with a French passport and Ghanaian origin from Hamburg .
biography
phreQuincy grew up in Hamburg. He was an ambitious basketball player at the time , but his career failed due to injuries. So from then on he concentrated on music productions . This brings him into contact with the producer Sleepwalker , who has already produced many German rap songs. phreQuincy subsequently produced a song on Eko Fresh's album I am young and need the money . As a result, his popularity grew and he produced a lot in the Hamburg hip-hop scene . Together with the Hamburg rapper Patrick, he deliberately released the mixtape Secret Weapon in November 2005 . He has also produced songs on records by Azad , Curse , Olli Banjo , Charnell , Samy Deluxe , MC Bogy , Sido , Fler , Jonesmann and Kool G Rap . In 2006 phreQuincy received a platinum record for his three productions on Booba's album Ouest Side , which achieved platinum status in France. He was the first German hip-hop producer to receive this award. In the same year he also published the free online mixtape Das is garniex . In September 2006 he signed a contract with the US label G-Unit Records as an in-house producer. However, he was not involved in the next G-Unit releases, instead his beats were used for some mixtapes by Shady Records . At the beginning of 2007 he founded his own edition Curtains Up together with his manager Erfan Bolourchi as a sub-publisher of Warner Chappell . A short time later, the instrumental album The Unbeatablez was released via Bozz Music in collaboration with the Bozz Music producers STI and Brisk Fingaz as well as with the Mainz Shuko . On January 11th, 2008, the Hamburg-based producer released his producer album Ich kanns ich's , on which he has been working since 2006. It featured Samy Deluxe, Bass Sultan Hengzt , Curse, Olli Banjo, D-Flame , Azad, Jonesmann, Manuellsen , Sprachtot , Megaloh , FR , Young Buck and Juvel . On the single Wir sind im Haus , phreQuincy also appears as a rapper. phreQuincy released the CD Boomboxx Vol.1 in January 2009 . This consists exclusively of samples . In January 2010, phreQuincy founded the band Wir sind im Haus , WSIH for short , which consists of him, singer Josof and rapper Juvel. Shortly afterwards, the group released the mixtape Cukunftsmusik (The Making Of) as a free download. This should offer a foretaste of the debut album. Rob Easy also appears on this as a DJ .
