Welcome to Abschaumcity is the fourth solo album by rapper MC Bogy . It was released on March 30, 2007 via the labels Noch mehr Ketten Entertainment and Aggro Berlin . After Bogy on 25 October 2006 the video shoot for Sidos single street boy had attended, he was arrested and was in custody in the prison Moabit . In order to support the rapper, who had already finished his album at this point, the Free Bogy campaign was launched by the labels Noch mehr Ketten Entertainment , Ghetto Musik and Aggro Berlin . Aggro Berlin, which is considered to be the most influential Berlin independent label, took over the marketing of Willkommen in Abschaumcity . In late 2010 the album was indexed.
Versions
The album was released in a standard and a premium edition . This was done in the same way as with the release of the solo albums Trendsetter by Fler and Ich by Sido, which were also released via Aggro Berlin. The Standard Edition consists of one disc on which seventeen songs can be heard. In contrast, the Premium Edition consists of two CDs. The content of the first CD is identical to the Standard Edition. The second disc also contains six additional songs and the video clip for the track Faust Hoch .

Gangster rap
Welcome to Abschaumcity contains numerous songs that can be assigned to gangster rap . These appeared again and again in previous releases at MC Bogy. The main subjects that emerge are the hard life, which is shaped by drug trafficking and being an outsider to society, the love of the street, which is the place of socialization, as well as the belief in God.
“I don't need a ghostwriter and I don't need a doctorate, I've been cast out by the media, but I'm one of the greats. I destroy rappers who only pose because they span the spectrum . I am a man who prays a lot, but I sell you drugs, I am lost like my brothers, I am the born leader - socially a loser, but a true atze keeper. (...) Envious people boil with envy and every wanker is now looking for a fight, because it is now clear to everyone: It is now NMK time. I'm ready for the end fight, but I don't see any 'boss, just etching softer than butter, just food for my' baseball bat! "
Personal texts
In addition to the gangster rap songs typical of MC Bogy, you can also find personal and sometimes melancholy songs on Willkommen in Abschaumcity . As an example, the track Only the good die young can be mentioned. It deals with the fates of people from the area around MC Bogy and problem child who finally died after criminal activities and drug use:

The song Vorstadtmädchen can be used as a further example . This is a love song in which Bogy discusses the relationship with a girl and the end of the time together. The rapper makes it clear in the track that he mourns the sung-about woman.
"If I held her in my arms, I was close to paradise." But she didn't like gees, she liked the rapper in me. She was more perfect and real than anything else I have known. Battle rap
The album contains some songs that can be assigned to battle rap . Here, the rapper involved in the song try a fictitious opponent or a group to Dissen . The tracks Get the ax out and Now the guns speak are examples of this form of rapeseed . The rappers Pablo SOK, MOK and Massiv are featured with guest contributions on the second.

Guest Posts
Welcome to Abschaumcity includes features from some well-known rappers. Particularly noteworthy is the gynecologist , who contributed the beats to some tracks and is involved with two guest contributions on both CDs. Sido and B-Tight , as well as MOK and the singer Shizoe , who are not contractually bound to Aggro , appear from the Aggro Berlin environment, who are responsible for the Free Bogy campaign together with the gynecologist .
Problemkind, who is the first rapper to be signed by MC Bogy, delivers three features on the album. Furthermore, the song is China White / Mörderwead Remix highlighted, as in this Ortiz Joell and from Queens native hardcore rapper Kool G Rap ever have a guest appearance. Other features come from Mach One , Massiv , which was signed by Sony BMG shortly after the release of Willkommen in Abschaumcity , Darn , M-Hot, Isar, B-Lash , who is one of the main producers of the album, Kamila, Ozan , Sady K, MC Basstard , who has worked with Bogy many times in the previous years, Pablo SOK, Dirty P and Deso Dogg , who was still under contract with Streetlife Entertainment at the time the album was released .

The standard version of the album features beats from five different producers. These are B-Lash, the Beathoavenz , M3 & Noyd as well as PhreQuincy and Keyza Soze . Most of the productions come from B-Lash. The producer duo Beathoavenz is responsible for the beat of the theme song Willkommen in Abschaumcity . M3 & Noyd produced the beat of Verloren . PhreQuincy provided the background music for no competition and China White / Mörderweed (remix) . The track Rap Veteran , on which MC Basstard and B-Tight are represented, was produced by Kayza Soze.
The Premium Edition of the album also includes Frauenarzt ("Westberlin is my Bario", "T-Shirt and Jeans Remix"), B-Lash ("Wo wir chillen", "Hustler Remix"), Supafunk ("Steif wie Sau ") and Amun (" Only the good die young ") are involved as producers.

Videos
A video was shot for the bogy album Willkommen in Abschaumcity . This 4:41 minute long clip to the song fist high was on the television channel MTV on the show MTV Urban broadcast. For the first eighty seconds of the clip, the song It began on the street is played. The video clip contains, among other things, recordings of the rapper's concerts. The rappers MC Basstard and Frauenarzt also appear in the clip. The video was also added to the playlist on the Aggro.tv website.

Welcome to Abschaumcity is MC Bogy's first album, with which he entered the German album charts. The album debuted at number 92 on the charts in the 16th week of 2007. It could only stay in the list of the 100 best-selling albums of the week for the first week through April 22, 2007.
Reviews
- HipHop magazine Juice rated Willkommen in Abschaumcity with four out of a total of six possible crowns. In the explanation, the beats of the main producer B-Lash are highlighted. In addition, MC Bogy is certified honesty, self-criticism and “proper flow ” by the Juice editorial team .
"All in all [...] a very typical Bogy album with personal lyrics, well-selected beats, mostly good features and really varied content."
- Other reviews such as the Laut.de website only give the album two out of five rating points. In contrast to the Juice, the author speaks of a "flow-free" rapper who is thematically not varied. As a positive aspect, those responsible highlight the production of the beats:

In 2010, Willkommen in Abschaumcity was indexed on List A by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People. As of December 31, 2010, the album may no longer be advertised or sold to minors.
