The Holiday Collection -

The Holiday Collection is an EP by the American singer-songwriter Madonna . The EP was released in 1991 by Sire Records about half a year after their greatest hits album The Immaculate Collection only on the European market through Warner Brothers Records distribution .

background

The EP was released on CD and cassette with Holiday as the title track. This EP contains three tracks that were not released on the greatest hits album The Immaculate Collection , although they were successful hits for Madonna in 1986 and 1987: True Blue (# 1), Who's That Girl (# 1) and Causing a Commotion (# 4).

With the release as an EP Holiday came for the third time in the British singles charts , the first time in 1984 at number 6, the second time in 1985 at number 2, at this point her single Into the Groove was at number 1. The third time the title reached in June 1991 number 4. Just a week after the EP was released, Holiday was able to place itself at number 11 in the British singles charts, where the record reached number 4 as the highest number.
