The Rebel Heart Tour was the tenth tour of the American singer Madonna , starting on September 9, 2015 in Montreal and ending on March 20, 2016 in Sydney , Australia . The artist used the tour to promote her thirteenth studio album, Rebel Heart , which was released worldwide in March 2015.

After the highly publicized appearances at the Grammys and Brit Awards in February 2015, tour rumors were first confirmed on March 2nd, 2015 through their official website. A total of 35 concerts were announced by the end of March 2015.
The album Rebel Heart was leaked on the Internet before it was released; Madonna herself called this "artistic rape" and vented her anger on Instagram . The album was released on March 6, 2015 in Germany and four days later worldwide. On March 2nd, the first tour dates were released and it was announced that the Rebel Heart Tour will be Madonna's last concert tour to run under Live Nation . Live-Nation's press announcer, Arthur Fogel, also commented on the leaks: “It's kind of strange how it all came about, but it certainly hasn't been a negative in terms of getting people engaged with the new music. After the first tickets were available, all 15,000 tickets for the concert in the Bercy Arena were completely sold out within five minutes. In Edmonton, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Cologne and Berlin, a second show was added due to high demand. A third bonus show was added in Turin, as well as in Mannheim and Zurich . In Canada, the shows sold very well, and bonus dates were added in Edmonton , Toronto and Montreal . A second show has also been added in Miami and New York City . In the meantime, after 35 shows, 53 were on the schedule and Asia and Australia were also announced. On May 21st, the first five concerts (all in the USA) were postponed to the end of the tour. Madonna announced that she still needs some time to prepare for the tour.
