Lucky Star is a 1983 Madonna song that she wrote herself and that was produced by Reggie Lucas . It appeared on their first album Madonna and was released as the fourth single in September of that year.

history

From 1982 to 1983 Madonna worked on her first album. However, initially she did not have a lot of material to fill the LP and was helped. This song is one of the ones she wrote alone. For promotional purposes, Madonna allowed one of the producers, DJ Mark Kamins, to play the song in his club Danceteria , where he worked as a DJ. The album was originally supposed to be named after the song, but it was named after her for commercial reasons. The song was supposed to be released before Holiday . At the time of the release, Holiday was already a big dance hit in the United States .

Although some sources indicate March or August 1984 for the publication, numerous international single editions, including for the USA, where the song only reached the charts in August 1984, are recorded according to the cover for the year 1983.

Music video

The video is quite simple in terms of plot and design - Madonna dances with two background dancers in black clothes in front of a white background.
