A demo version of the song entitled Give Me All Your Love had already hit the Internet in November 2011 . A 31-year-old Spaniard was therefore temporarily arrested.
The music video was shot in December 2011 under the direction of the MegaForce team. It has American football and cheerleading as its theme, and Nicki Minaj and MIA appear in cheerleading costumes. It was posted on Madonna's YouTube channel on February 3, 2012.
Madonna first performed the song on February 5, 2012 during her appearance at the Super Bowl halftime show in Indianapolis . During the performance, MIA put her middle finger towards the camera instead of singing her lines. This garnered media attention, especially in the US, and led to apologies from NBC and NFL .
