Turn Me On is a song by French producer David Guetta and US rapper Nicki Minaj from his fifth album Nothing but the Beat . The song also appeared on the deluxe edition of Minaj Pink Friday's second album : Roman Reloaded . The song was written by Ester Dean , David Guetta and Giorgio Tuinfort; Minaj wrote the rap verses. The recording was praised by critics. On December 13, 2011, the song was released as the fifth single from Nothing but the Beat . The song became Guetta's most successful single to date in the United States along with Without You , both of which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States . The song became the theme song of WrestleMania XXVIII.

“People don't really know her as a singer and she's killing it on that track. People know her for her crazy rapping but that shows what she can do as a singer. Sometimes I meet people by accident or they call me up but with Nicki it was me chasing her. For a year I wanted to work with her and she was hard to reach. The song was written by Ester Dean , David Guetta and Giorgio Tuinfort, Minaj wrote the rap verses. In an interview with Billboard Magazine David Guetta said : “I am so proud of what Nicki did on this record because we know her for those crazy raps but the other record that we have, she is singing like - oh man. The world is gonna be shocked. Because they don't know her like this. And we came up with that amazing song and she just killed it. "

Turn Me On is an up-tempo club track with heavy beats and the vocals and rap of Nicki Minaj. Besides Where Them Girls At , Turn Me On is the second song from Nothing but the Beat in which Guetta works with Minaj. Minaj sings: “Doctor doctor, need you back, call me babe / Doctor doctor, where you at, give me something / I need your love, I need your love, I need your loving / You got that kind of medicine to keep me comin. The music video for Turn Me On was shot in November 2011. Directed by Sanji. A short trailer for the music video was released on January 27, 2012, and the full official music video was released on January 31, 2012.
In the music video, Guetta plays a mad scientist who builds his own Nicki Minaj from mechanical pieces.
Appearances
Turn Me On was played along with Nicki Minaj's own hit Super Bass at the 2011 American Music Awards . Minaj also sang the song on New Year's Rockin 'Eve with Ryan Seacrest, as well as during the 2012 NBA All-Star Game and on her Roman Reloaded Tour .
