Till the World Ends (. English for: " Until the world comes ") is a song of American pop - singer Britney Spears . It is the second single from their seventh studio album Femme Fatale . Till the World Ends was written by Alexander Kronlund, Ke $ ha , Dr. Luke and Max Martin written. The piece was produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Billboard. The single surfaced on March 3, 2011, and the following day Spears presented the song in person on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM radio show . On April 26, 2011 Spears released the song as "The Femme Fatale Remix" and was able to win Nicki Minaj and Ke $ ha as guest singers.

Till the World Ends is Spears' eighth top 3 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the second most successful radio hit of her career after I Wanna Go . With sales of over 2,638,000, the song is also Spear's third most successful single.

In an interview with the US music magazine Spin on February 11, 2011, Ke $ ha talked about a song called Till the World Ends , which she and Dr. Luke and Max Martin had written for the seventh studio album by singer Britney Spears. On March 2, 2011, the single cover was released. On the same day, a 30-second audio sample was surprisingly published on Amazon.de . Till the World Ends was released unofficially on March 3, 2011. Shortly afterwards, Spears announced on Twitter and Facebook :

The following day the official radio premiere took place on the radio show by Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM with Spears as the star guest. Till the World Ends was released for purchase on iTunes the same day , a few days earlier than originally planned.

On April 22, 2011 it was announced that Nicki Minaj and Ke $ ha would be guest singers on a remixed version of the song. The remix was unofficially published on the Internet on the same day, although the US release date for iTunes was initially set on April 25th, but then on April 26th, 2011. On April 25, 2011 Spears published the cover of Till the World Ends (The Femme Fatale Remix) on Twitter , which shows all three singers.

In 2011 she presented the song on several television shows and during her Femme Fatale Tour . It is also part of their current Las Vegas show Britney: Piece of Me .

Till the World Ends is a dance-pop and electro-pop song that starts with sirens and a “crackling” bassline. The main segment of the song “ I cant take it take it take no more / Never felt like felt like this before / C'mon get me get me off the floor / DJ whatcha whatcha waitin 'for !? “Should establish the connection to the title. This is followed by an often repeated “ Whoa-oh-oh-oh ” beat as a bridge . The song ends with the lines " If you feel it let it happen / Keep on dancing till the world ends ".

Music video

The music video for Till the World Ends was shot by Ray Kay in Los Angeles. On March 17th, Spears reported on her first day of shooting and posted a photo on Twitter . The video will be released in two versions, as Ray Kay confirmed via Twitter . One version will deal with an apocalyptic plot, while the other will be based purely on Spears' dance choreography. On April 4, the music video was previewed on Britney Spear's official Youtube account. On April 5th, Spears confirmed via Twitter that the release of the music video will take place on April 6th on her official Vevo account. After just one week, the video was viewed over 10 million times on YouTube .

Charts

Parallel to the US radio premiere on March 4, 2011, Till the World Ends was released worldwide as a download on iTunes and reached the top of the iTunes charts in Mexico and Spain , among others .

In Great Britain, Till the World Ends rose to number 55 on the official singles charts on March 6, 2011 after only 2 rated sales days and climbed to number 21 the following week. On March 8, 2011 the song rose to number 17 on the Norwegian charts and reached second place as the highest position after two weeks. The song debuted in the first week of the chart at number 23 in Spain and at number 29 in France. In the French charts, Till the World Ends improved to number 7. On March 9, 2011, the US music magazine Billboard announced that the song had sold 117,000 digitally within three days of its release and reached number 10 on Billboard Digital Songs charts. In the Billboard Hot 100 , Till the World Ends placed with this result on March 10, 2011 straight away at number 20. In the following week, the song climbed to number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to 158,000 digital units sold and increasing radio broadcasts ; it is Spears' tenth top 10 hit in the US. Then the song slipped to number 23. Thanks to the consistently positive music video, Till the World Ends improved steadily and reached number 8 in the Hot 100 on April 14, 2011. After the release of the Femme Fatale remix , download sales increased again significantly by 246,000 units, so that Till the World Ends reached the highest chart position on May 5, 2011 in both the Hot 100 and the Digital Song Charts with number 3. In the United States, the song has now received double platinum status for 2,000,000 units sold. In the Canadian Hot 100 , the song first placed 16 on March 10, 2011, climbed to 7th the following week and then slipped to 19th place. Thanks to the video premiere managed the song on April 14, 2011 Back to the top 10, reaching number 6. After the remix release the song climbed 5 May 2011 ranked 4th in Finland rose Till the World Ends place 10 and reached number 6 the following week. The song had its highest chart entry in Ireland, where it entered number 7 thanks to its high download sales. It is Spears' 24th top 10 single on the Irish charts. On March 11, 2011 Till the World Ends debuted in both the Danish and the Dutch charts at number 29. In Denmark, the song reached number 9 as the highest position. In Switzerland, on March 20, 2011, the song went straight to number 24. After only two weeks, the song fell off the charts, but rose to number 30 on April 10, 2011 and reached number on May 15, 2011 7 the highest chart position. On March 21, 2011 the song also reached the Australian singles charts and debuted at number 19. On April 25, 2011 Till the World Ends reached its highest position at number 8. In Germany, the song, like its predecessor Hold It Against Me, missed the jump into the top 20 of the singles charts due to a late release. Till the World Ends only reached number 27 in the first week of the chart, but surprisingly slipped only one position to number 28 in the following week. In addition, at 13 weeks the song was in the German charts for longer than any other song by the singer since Womanizer .
