Boys is a song by the American singer Britney Spears from her third studio album Britney . It was written and produced by Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams , who together form the producer duo The Neptunes . A version of the song entitled Boys (The Co-Ed Remix) was released as the sixth and final single from Britney on July 29, 2002. The new version also served as the second single from the Austin Powers soundtrack in Gold Stand .

Boys was originally recorded by Janet Jackson before it was finally given to Spears.
