The film opened in German cinemas on October 24, 2002.

action

Austin is knighted by the Queen. He is overjoyed because he is expecting his father and role model Nigel Powers at the ceremony. When Austin wants to introduce the original spy in a secret missionary position to the guests of honor, Nigel is not there.

Austin is devastated. But then Basil Exposition reports that Nigel was kidnapped by the villain Gold Stand. It is now Austin's task to free his father Nigel from the clutches of the mad Dutchman Goldstander. At his side is his old flame, the undercover agent Foxxy Cleopatra. With Goldstander's help, Austin's archenemy, Dr. Evil, with a tractor beam (called Luke 2, in the original "Preparation H", a remedy for hemorrhoids that is introduced rectally) put a golden comet on a collision course with the earth, which, however, was done by Austin Powers, his father and the overflowing Mini Me (Clone of Dr. Evil) can be prevented. Mini Me no longer behaves like Dr. Evil, but in appearance and behavior like the heartthrob Austin Powers. In the end, it turns out that Dr. Evil is actually Austin's brother, who was separated from both of them after an accident. He was then raised to be angry by a Belgian.

Reviews

The film received mixed reviews. The film review portal Rotten Tomatoes gives 54% positive reviews for the film and it has a Metascore of 62 out of 100 on Metacritic .

“Shrill parody of agents in the follow-up to two successful films, which deliberately violates any ' political correctness ' with feces jokes, ridiculousness and sex jokes . The result is nothing more than a full-length man's joke that can be interpreted as a gigantic advertising machine. "

“The agent with the license to fool around (Myers) doesn't just want one thing, but above all Daddy's approval. Super spy Nigel (Michael Caine) doesn't even appear for Sohnemann's accolade. As a villain Dr. Evil (also Myers) kidnapped the senior by time machine in the 70s to the Goldfinger caricature Goldstander (again Myers), Austin has the chance to impress Dad. The ingenious foreplay with which Mike Myers opens his disco remix of tried and tested Powers gags is also impressive. But then the agent slapstick is hip, between plush and hot chicks, the father-son conflict seems like a foreign body. And the return of the disgusting Fat Bastard (Myers again) is an unnecessary kneeling on the knees before the donkey faecal humor. Would Papa Myers have liked that? "
