Mindy Lee Sterling (born July 11, 1953 in Paterson , New Jersey ) is an American actress , best known for her role as Mrs. Farbissina in the Austin Powers film series.

Life

Sterling began her career in 1979 with a guest appearance on the television series B.J. and the bear . She then played small supporting roles in various films such as the horror film House - Das Horrorhaus . She had her breakthrough in 1997 with the role of Mrs. Farbissina in Mike Myers ' Austin Powers - The Sharpest Thing Her Majesty has to offer , which she repeated in the two other films. She then played alongside Jim Carrey in The Grinch, among others . She has guest roles in various series such as All Under One Roof , King of Queens and Scrubs and had the recurring role of Mrs. Briggs in the series iCarly . She also worked as a voice actress on various cartoon series and the animated film Ice Age 2: Jetzt thauts mit.

Sterling is married with one son.
