Tauschrausch (original title: The Replacements ) is an American animated series by the Walt Disney Company from 2006 to 2009.

action

The series is about the two orphans and siblings Todd and Riley Daring. Riley, the girl, is the older and mostly more level-headed than her brother Todd. While cleaning the orphanage, the two find a comic book in which an ominous company called Fleemco advertises itself. According to Fleemco , parents can be ordered from them for $ 1.99.

So Riley and Todd, impressed by the choice, order new parents, whereupon the two receive Agent K, a British super spy, as their mother, and Dick, a world-famous stuntman, as their father. Furthermore, Fleemco gives the two of them the opportunity to swap any adult in their life in the future who somehow does not suit the two of them. For this purpose they are given a special mobile phone, the Fleemtel . This unconventional family causes a stir when, for example, Todd has his teacher replaced by a professional wrestler or swaps a strict librarian for a rock star.

In the last episode, Inexchangeable , it turns out that Conrad Fleem, the owner of Fleemco , is a lost uncle of Todd and Riley and, due to his lack of educational knowledge, wanted to do them both good with the exchange program.

Todd Bartholomew Daring-Fleem
Todd is a troublemaker and a little cocky. He often uses the FleemTel for little things, for example when someone blocks his way. He's quick-tempered, but not as naive as his sister.
Riley Eugene Daring-Fleem
Riley is the older and more responsible of the two Daring siblings. She is a tomboy and an outsider, but still enjoys going to school. She is idealistic and mainly uses the FleemTel to exchange adults whom she feels treated unfairly by.
Karen Jane "K" Mildred Daring
She is a British secret agent and is always calm and focused. However, due to her job, she is sometimes paranoid in everyday life and cannot shed her professional behavior patterns in private life. She has character traits of James Bond , Emma Peel or Æon Flux
Richard "Dick" Marion Daring
Dick is a professional stuntman who has no idea about children, but, as always, faces this challenge and tends to be extremely childish himself. Dick serves as a parody of Evel Knievel (he also owns a teddy bear named Evil Bearnievel ).
CARTER "Car"
CARTER is the talking agent car that Agent K brought into the family and with which she works as a partner. The sports car is intelligent, extremely sarcastic, and has some amazing capabilities. However, he can't stand Dick and under no circumstances will he tolerate the two children.
Conrad Fleem
Conrad is the mysterious owner of the Fleemco Company , who gives Riley and Todd advice and assistance. His motives, however, often remain a mystery. In the last episode of season 2, it turns out that he is the lost uncle of Todd and Riley.

Supporting characters

Tasumi
Tasumi is Riley's friend, of Japanese origin and always wears a metal combat suit. With her family she forms a group that combats crime; ( Sentai ). Around the middle of season two, Riley finds out that Tasumi is a Japanese superstar and is hiding in Pleasent Hills.
Abbey
An African American girl who is also friends with Riley. Although she despises the popular girls in school, she would like to be like them.
Buzz Winters
A school thug that takes Riley and Todd down after he doesn't have the coolest dad anymore.
Donny Rottweiler
Donny is a racket who is much taller than Todd. He is Buzz's mentor and Todd's mortal enemy.
Shelton Klutzberry
He's a nerd and quite a wimp who's afraid of girls. However, if he takes off his glasses, he becomes extremely tall and muscular. However, he cannot wear contact lenses and is therefore dependent on glasses.
Prince Cinnamon Boots
The mule Prince Cinnamon Boots or PCB is the Darings' pet. His first appearance was in episode 5. The fact that he is often forgotten in many other episodes developed into a running gag .
Johnny Hitswell
Johnny is the school crush that Riley also has an eye on. Although he is so popular with the girls, he usually doesn't pay any attention to them. He plays baseball on the same team as Riley.
Sierra McCool
She is the most popular girl in the school and Riley's rival as she, too, vies for Johnny's attention.
Jacobo
Jacobo is Todd's best friend. He's Mexican , loves horror books and has a secret singing talent.
Director Cutler
He's the principal of George Hefter Middle School and he's always trying to make money. His mother is an Eskimo , which is why he loves snow.

The first season was broadcast in the US for the first time from September 8, 2006 in the evening program.

In Germany, Disney's exchange frenzy was initially only seen on Toon Disney and the Disney Channel , the free TV premiere then took place on November 25, 2007 on Super RTL . The second season has been broadcast in Germany since August 11, 2008 on Disney Channel.
