Toon Disney (and Toon Disney +1 ) was a television program. It sent as his partner channels Playhouse Disney since 10. November 2004 over the pay-TV platform of Vodafone cable Germany its program. Toon Disney did not include the Sky Deutschland pay TV package in their package. The station ceased broadcasting on the night of April 15, 2010. Toon Disney +1 has been replaced by Disney XD +1 .
Toon Disney was an offshoot of the US family broadcaster Disney Channel . The program is based on Walt Disney's cartoon series , the target group of the station were children aged 3–13 and animation enthusiasts. The program was free of violence and advertising around the clock. The Buena Vista GmbH applied for a broadcasting license and the BLM (Bavarian media authority) then gave in October the broadcasting license. Since November 14, 2009, Toon Disney Germany was one of the last Toon Disney editions worldwide, alongside Toon Disney Italy . On March 11, 2010 and March 23, respectively, Toon Disney was replaced by the Austrian AonTV and the Swiss Cablecom by Disney XD. So Toon Disney was last only available in Germany. Toon Disney broadcast until April 15th, after which the channel was discontinued in Germany.
Program structure
Toon Disney changed its program irregularly, but at least once a year. Mostly, Disney cartoons from the 1980s and 1990s were exchanged for others from the same field. Toon Disney's main series that were (almost) always on the program included Phineas and Ferb , Kim Possible , American Dragon , Tauschrausch , Kuzco's premier class , Brandy & Mr. Whiskers , Mickey's Clubhouse , Lilo & Stitch and Disney's Big Break . TooNight ran from 00:00 to 06:00 until November 30th, 2009, showing various cartoons without a scheme. On December 1st, 2009 TooNight was canceled and replaced by various series.
The future of Toon Disney
For a long time it was unknown what the future of Toon Disney Germany would look like. Some series have been on Toon Disney for over a year on the same airtime. No new episodes were shown from series that had been on the Disney Channel for a long time. Some series only aired some episodes. The program structure was not completely changed for over two years, as it used to be, and some series have not been shown for over two years. The discontinuation of Toon of the Month, Toon Extra Long and Toonight also indicated that Toon Disney could be discontinued soon. Broadcasting was finally stopped on April 15, 2010.

United States
Toon Disney launched in the United States on April 18, 1998. Toon Disney aired until 11:59 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2009, and was replaced by Disney XD for the first minute on Friday, February 13, 2009 .
France
In France, Toon Disney was replaced by Disney Cinemagic in September 2007.
UK
Toon Disney was launched in the UK in 2000. In March 2006, Toon Disney became the first broadcaster in the world to be replaced by Disney Cinemagic.
Spain
Toon Disney was launched in Spain in 2001 and was replaced by Disney Cinemagic in October 2008.
Toon Disney, which started on August 1, 2005 in the Scandinavian countries, was replaced by Disney XD on September 12, 2009.
Italy
Toon Disney launched in Italy on December 24, 2004. Toon Disney Italy was from April 15, 2010 to October 1, 2011 the only remaining Toon Disney worldwide.
Japan
Toon Disney was launched in Japan on December 1st, 2005 and was replaced by Disney XD on August 1st, 2009.
India
Toon Disney was launched in India in 2004. It was replaced by Disney XD on November 14, 2009.
