Fredrick Aaron Savage (born July 9, 1976 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actor and director.

life and career

In 1980, at the age of 4, he began his acting career in the film Dinosaur . At age 9, he played a role in The Boy Who Could Fly with Jay Underwood. At age 12, he got the lead role of Kevin Arnold in the series The Wonder Years ( The Wonder Years ). In the same year, he was nominated for an Emmy as the youngest actor to date .

After graduating from Stanford University in 1999, he played a major supporting role in the film Austin Powers III in 2002 . He is currently working behind the scenes and for formats of children's programs, among other things as a director (e.g. for the comedy series Ned's Ultimate School Madness and for the television stations Nickelodeon and Disney ). In 2006 Savage played the lead role in the American sitcom Crumbs , of which only 13 episodes were produced and which was canceled after five episodes aired due to poor audience ratings.

He has been married to his childhood sweetheart Jennifer Stone since August 7, 2004. With her he has a son (* 2006) and a daughter (* 2008). His brother Ben Savage , four years his junior, is also an actor.
