Ben Savage (* 13. September 1980 in Chicago , Illinois , as Bennett Joseph Savage ) is an American actor .

Life

Ben Savage became enthusiastic about acting through his four year older brother Fred Savage , who played the lead role in the series Wonderful Years .

After a few small film roles and guest appearances in television series, including in Wonderful Years , Ben Savage got the lead role of Cory Matthews in the comedy series Life and Me in 1993 . The series ran for seven years and it made Savage a child star.

After the series ended, he completed a degree in political science at the renowned Stanford University , which he successfully completed in 2004. He demonstrated his political ambitions by doing an internship with the US Senator Arlen Specter from Pennsylvania in the summer of 2003.

Ben Savage is also committed to a large AIDS foundation.

From 2014 to 2017 he was in the youth - sitcom Girl Meets World , a sequel to Boy Meets World to see again in his role as Cory Matthews. In both his guest appearances in Criminal Minds and Homeland , he portrayed the roles played by Mandy Patinkin at a young age.
