Set in New York City , the series is about the lives of two sisters, Valerie ( Jennie Garth ) and Holly Tyler ( Amanda Bynes ).

action

Holly is the younger sister of Valerie Tyler. At the beginning of season 1, she had to move to Japan at the age of 16 because her father was promoted. She resists it because she has had to move so many times in her life and asks her sister to move in with her. Henry Gibson is her first great love. She gets together with him, but separates from him after a while, because she apparently has feelings for the bicycle courier Vince. The two want to get together, but Holly wants to wait a little while for Henry to get over it. But when she stops by Vince to tell him that she is ready, she finds him with someone else. From then on it was clear to her that Vince was a "player" and that she could not trust him.

When Holly was now 18 years old, she applied for an internship in Paris . Henry, with whom she is now good friends again, helps her to write her application. Holly was accepted, thanks to Henry. The two want to get back together, but Holly has to go to France for a few months . Meanwhile, Vince has also confessed his love to her. They are waiting for Holly at the airport , but when she gets off the plane , she has an English friend with her. The two disappear immediately. Henry goes to Princeton and disappears from the series as the leading actor.

Vince still hasn't confessed his love to Holly, but sometimes phrases like: "You should break up with the Englishman!" Only when Holly says to Ben (her English friend) "I love you, Vince!", The two want to get together again. But then Holly learns that Vince has slept with her best friend Tina and so the relationship doesn't work out again.

Holly eventually, on advice from a radio doctor, goes to Henry at Princeton to ask him for help on how to get together with Vince. After a long conversation, the two hug each other out of friendship, which Vince interprets differently than he sees it. Holly wants to confess her love to Vince and hopes they will finally get together this time, but Vince doesn't answer her calls and wants to move to Florida . Holly follows him into his car and hides there. But when she wants to show herself, another girl gets in. So she has to go to Florida with me to tell Vince her love there.

The two return to New York as a couple . Valerie has now married the fireman Vic after a night of partying. Despite initially tenacious efforts, Valeries does not agree to annul the marriage for the time being and wants to try to keep the marriage going for six months. Little by little, Val gives up her resistance and falls in love. When Vince realizes that Holly is making more money than he is, he looks for a new job as a real estate agent. Only his boss is his ex-girlfriend who is still after him. Holly breaks up with Vince because he doesn't want to believe her that his ex wants to get back with him. Eventually Vince realizes that Holly was right about her allegations. He is shocked and quits his job, but does not dare to apologize to Holly. He says goodbye to his friends to start a new life in Chicago . However, at Val's second wedding to Vic (the first was invalid), he comes back and Holly and Vince are back together.
