Wesley Jonathan Waples (born October 18, 1978 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor .

Life

Born in Los Angeles , Wesley Jonathan spent four years of his childhood in Germany , which is why he still speaks some German today .

He began his career as a child actor in 1990 at the age of twelve in an episode of 21 Jump Street - Crime Scene Classroom . In 1995 he appeared in eight episodes of Misery Loves Company . The role that made him known, however, was that of Jamal Grant in the television series City Guys , which he played in 105 episodes between 1997 and 2001. Another well-known role of Wesley Jonathan is that of Gary Thorne in Hello Holly , which he impersonated in 85 of the 86 episodes. In 2005 he also worked on the film Roll Bounce . After guest appearances in episodes of CSI: Miami , Navy CIS , Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten and 90210 he was seen in eleven episodes of The LeBrons in 2011 . A year later, he got the role of Fletcher Emmanuel "Stamps" Ballentine in The Soul Man alongside Cedric the Entertainer and Niecy Nash .

From 2006 to 2009, Jonathan was in a relationship with actress Denyce Lawton .
