Cedric the Entertainer
Cedric the Entertainer (born April 24, 1964 in Jefferson City , Missouri ; civil Cedric Antonio Kyles ) is an American actor and comedian .
life and career
Cedric Kyles began working as a stand-up comedian while in college at Southeast Missouri State University . Because he also sang and danced during his performances, Cedric added The Entertainer . He made his first television appearance in 1992 in It's Showtime at the Apollo . After that, Cedric appeared on Def Comedy Jam and BET's ComicView . He also hosted the latter from 1994 to 1995. In 1996, friend Steve Harvey brought him to his sitcom The Steve Harvey Show . Since then he has had his own sketch show and has appeared in numerous films.
Together with Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac and DL Hughley , Cedric the Entertainer toured the USA under the name Kings of Comedy . Since October 2005 he has had his own team in the Champ Car series . On July 19, 2018, he was honored with the 2,640th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame .
