Steve Harvey
Broderick Stephen "Steve" Harvey (* 17th January 1957 ) is a US -American presenter and entertainer who primarily by Family Feud is known.
Life
Harvey was born in West Virginia, the youngest of five children of Jesse Harvey, a coal miner and his wife Eloise. His family soon moved to Cleveland ( Ohio um), where he attended Glenville High School to the 1974th He then went back to study at West Virginia University . Harvey worked alongside as an insurance salesman, postman and boxer.
In 2015, on his 58th birthday, this day, January 17th, 2015, was named "Steve Harvey Day" and the street where he grew up was renamed "Steve Harvey Way".
Career
In 1985 he appeared on stage for the first time in a stand-up comedy . His breakthrough came when he made it to the finals of the second annual "Johnnie Walker National Comedy" elimination in 1989.
He then got some roles in television productions, such as the presenter of Showtime at the Apollo (1993 to 2000) or the star of a sitcom . In 1996 he got The Steve Harvey Show on the fledgling WB network, which he hosted until 2002. He was one of four comedians in the 2002 film The Original Kings of Comedy by Spike Lee . In the same year he began with the daily talk radio show The Steve Harvey Morning Show , which was originally only available in Los Angeles and Dallas , but is now broadcast daily by other stations. In 2007 Harvey won the Radio & Records magazine's national Syndicated Personality / Show of the Year award. Since 2010 he has hosted the game show Family Feud .
Harvey gained particular fame when he first announced the Colombian Ariadna Gutiérrez in place of the actual winner Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (Philippines) as the new beauty queen when he was awarded the title of Miss Universe 2015 and had to correct his mistake shortly afterwards.
