Honeymooners (Original title: The Honeymooners ) is an American comedy film from 2005 . Directed by John Schultz ; the script was written by Danny Jacobson , David Sheffield , Barry W. Blaustein and Don Rhymer . The film is based on the American sitcom of the same name.

action

The New York bus driver Ralph Kramden is friends with the worker Ed Norton. Ralph marries Alice, who, like Ed's wife Trixie, harasses her husband with the desire to lead a better life. She wants to move from Brooklyn to a better area.

Ralph and Ed develop numerous plans to raise money. The business ideas result in Ralph losing the family savings on a new home.

Reviews

The lexicon of international films described the film as "a failed revival of a successful American comedy show from the 1950s as a cinematic outfit based on a brazenly pointless script full of lame gags" .

Cinema magazine wrote that the director was letting the comedy "degenerate into greasy nonsense with stale jokes" . She only praised the performance of John Leguizamo, while the other depictions were "yelp bad" . The editors mocked that one should shoot the script to the moon.

Awards

Gabrielle Union was nominated for a BET Comedy Award in 2005. Cedric the Entertainer was nominated for the Black Movie Award in 2005.
