Richard Gibbs

Richard Gibbs (born December 5, 1955 ) is an American film composer .

Life

Gibbs grew up in Daytona Beach . He graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in classical composition . Gibbs was a member of the new wave band Oingo Boingo from 1980 to 1984 . He also worked as a keyboard player a. a. for Robert Palmer , Tom Waits , Melissa Etheridge . Richard Gibbs is married with three children.

Gibbs won the BMI Film Music Award twice: 1999 for the film Doctor Dolittle and 2001 for Big Mama's House .
