The night of crazy adventures (Original title: Adventures in Babysitting ) is an American television movie directed by John Schultz from 2016 . The main roles are played by Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson . The film is a remake of The Night of Adventures from 1987. It is the 100th original Disney Channel movie .

Jenny Parker and Lola Perez couldn't be more different: While Jenny is strict and well-organized, Lola rebels. By chance, the two swap their cell phones and thus both get the babysitting job with the Cooper family. They are forced to join forces. When one of the offspring disappears, they go on a search with the rest of the children and get from one catastrophe to the next without knowing that wild chases and an improvised rap battle are waiting for them.

A remake of The Night of Adventure was already being worked on in 2007 . At that time, Raven-Symoné was offered the lead role, but she declined the role due to another project. In 2009, Miley Cyrus was offered a leading role , but Cyrus also turned it down. The project was put on hold and it wasn't until January 2015 that the Disney Channel announced the remake again. Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson , both of whom have appeared in various Disney Channel productions, were able to secure the leading roles . Tiffany Paulsen was hired to write the script.

The film was shot from March 2nd to April 18th, 2015 in Vancouver, Canada . The first teaser trailer was shown following the premiere of the Disney Channel original movie Surprisingly Invisible , in which Carpenter's colleague Rowan Blanchard plays one of the leading roles. The first trailer premiered during an episode of the television series Life and Riley .

For the film, the two leading actresses, Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson, recorded the song Wildside together , which was released on May 20, 2016. A few days later, the accompanying lyrics music video was released.

It was first broadcast on the US Disney Channel on June 24, 2016, followed by 3.45 million viewers. Following the film, the new Disney Channel series Bizaardvark celebrated its premiere. The DVD release in the US took place on June 28, 2016.

In Germany, the film was shown on Disney Cinemagic on July 24, 2016 . The film was shown on free TV for the first time on September 17, 2017 on ProSieben . A DVD evaluation has not yet taken place.
