Don Rhymer

Donald E. Rhymer (born February 23, 1961 in Union , South Carolina , † November 28, 2012 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American screenwriter .

Life

Donald Rhymer studied English and communication studies at James Madison University . He then worked for television from the early 1980s. From the late 1980s he made scripts for sitcoms such as Daddy Makes Us All and Kiss Me, John into films. After his first screenplay for a television film was broadcast with Banner Times , Rhymer was able to establish himself as a screenwriter for feature films. He wrote books on comedies like Big Mama's House and Big Mama's House - The Double Serving .

In 2009, Rhymer was diagnosed with head and neck cancer . From then on he documented his cancer treatment on the Lets Radiate Don website . On November 28, 2012, at the age of 51, he died of cancer at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center . He left a woman to whom he was married for 29 years and three children together.
