Claude Piron (* 26. February 1931 in Namur , Belgium ; † 22. January 2008 in Gland , Switzerland) was an internationally active Swiss interpreter and longtime psychology - a lecturer with a focus on international communications , psychoanalyst , supervisor and writer who prefers to Esperanto published.

Life

Piron graduated from the Interpreting School of the University of Geneva and worked as a language mediator at the UN in New York from 1956 to 1961 , where he interpreted from English, Chinese, Spanish and Russian into French. He then worked for the World Health Organization in Asia and Africa for eight years . After training as a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist , he ran a practice in the Geneva region since 1969 and in Gland since 1999. From 1973 until his retirement in 1994, he also taught psychology and education at the University of Geneva. Since then, in addition to his practice, he has continued to train, advise and supervise young psychologists.

In a large number of lectures and publications he dealt with questions of psychology and international communication.
