Seth Green (* 8. February 1974 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania as Seth Green Gesshel ) is an American actor . He is known from films like Rat Race (2001) and the three-part Austin Powers series and the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer . He is also the producer of the animated series Robot Chicken .

Career

Green grew up as the son of the teacher Herb Green and the artist Barbara Green. He also has an older sister. Green made his first appearance in a movie production at the age of 10, starring Jodie Foster and Rob Lowe in the John Irving film adaptation of The Hotel New Hampshire . In 1988 he played Alyson Hannigan's boyfriend in the comedy My Stepmother is an Alien .

In 1990 Green was then seen in the lavish TV adaptation of the Stephen King classic Es as a young Richard "Richie" Tozier (played by Harry Anderson in adulthood ). This was followed by a series of appearances in various television productions such as a guest appearance in the television series Seaquest DSV . Green's big breakthrough came with his portrayal of the film's son of villain Dr. Evil called Scott Evil in the Austin Powers movies . He played this role in all three previously filmed parts of this parody of the James Bond films. Green also worked with Rob Lowe again on the set of Austin Powers .

He gained further notoriety in the years 1997 to 1999 when he played the boy Daniel "Oz" Osbourne in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer , who was bitten by his cousin and has since become a werewolf three nights a month. Incidentally, as part of the series, like in My Stepmother is an Alien , he played the friend of Alyson Hannigan , who played Willow .

In 2001, he was in the movie America's Sweethearts alongside Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones to see. In 2002 Austin Powers followed in Gold Stand and in 2003 he played the role of James St. James in the flashy film Party Monster . He also played in 2003 and 2004 in the television series The Wild Seventies in five episodes Mitch Miller (seasons 5 and 6). His other movies include The Italian Job - Hunt for Millions (2003), Scooby Doo 2 (2004) and Trouble Without Paddles (2004).

He has also been featured in the Family Guy series since 1999 as the voice of son Chris Griffin. Together with Matthew Senreich, he produced the short film series Robot Chicken in 2004 , for which he was also able to hire Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy) as voice actress . He also made a minor appearance (1993) on the X-Files television series , where he gives FBI agent Fox Mulder ( David Duchovny ) a lead on a government-hidden UFO and helps him break into a secret military camp. He made a small appearance as a murder victim in a later episode of the X-Files .

Seth Green also starred in the Greg the Bunny series , along with Eugene Levy, known from American Pie . The series was broadcast in Germany by Comedy Central . Most recently, Seth Green was used as a "guest host" at WWE RAW and even played a match with Triple H and John Cena against Legacy ( Randy Orton , Ted DiBiase Jr. and Cody Rhodes ). From September 2013 to February 2014 he starred in the sitcom Dads .

Since May 1, 2010, Green has been married to fellow actor Clare Grant .

He owns a production company with Breckin Meyer and Ryan Phillippe .
