action
Friends Billy Newwood, Tom Marshall, Jerry Conlaine and Dan Mott grow up together. After Newwood's death, the others meet at his funeral. You will find a map left by Newwood with the location of the hiding place of a treasure looted in a robbery.
The friends look for the treasure in the Oregon forests , where they are attacked by a bear on the Spirit River. Later they are disturbed by backwoodsmen Dennis and Elwood, who pursue them from now on. They already want to give up, but cannot find their way home. They listen to music and come across an illegal marijuana plantation . The friends are shot at and they flee. Del Knox finds them and gives the men shelter.
The friends find the skeleton of the bank robber in an abandoned shaft. Before his death he burned the stolen banknotes to warm himself. Dennis and Elwood appear and fight the friends. Sheriff Briggs, who arrives, turns out to be the head of a gang that includes Dennis and Elwood and operates the illegal cultivation of marijuana. After another fight, Sheriff Briggs and his helpers are overwhelmed and arrested. The three friends are celebrated like heroes.
