Robert Scott Adsit (born November 26, 1965 in Northbrook , Illinois ) is an American actor and voice actor .

Life

Adsit attended DePauw University in Indiana for a semester after high school before moving to Columbia College in Chicago . There he joined the theater group The Second City in 1987 , where he was cast for leading roles alongside Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch from the mid-1990s . He has appeared in a number of successful productions and was awarded the Joseph Jefferson Award. In 1998 Adsit moved to Los Angeles , where he subsequently made guest appearances in various television series and small film roles.

Between 2005 and 2008, he voiced several characters in the adult swim cartoon series Moral Orel , including Orel's father, Clay Puppington . For this he was nominated for the Annie Award . In 2006 he got one of the lead roles in the sitcom 30 Rock . By 2013 he played the role of Pete Hornberger in 138 episodes . The ensemble was nominated a total of seven times for the Screen Actors Guild Award and received it in 2008. In 2014, Adsit spoke the robot Baymax in the Disney cartoon Baymax - Giant Robowabohu .
