Ethan Suplee (born May 25, 1976 in Manhattan , New York ) is an American actor .

biography

The native New Yorker grew up in Los Angeles and made his television debut at the age of 18 in the hit series Das Leben und Ich (Original: Boy Meets World ). In three seasons he played the reserved Frankie .

The impersonation of the stupid racist Seth Ryan in Tony Kaye's film American History X (1998), but also the role of the young football player Lewis Lastik in Disney's Against Every Rule (2000) are seen as key roles in his career .

Since then, Suplee has appeared regularly in theatrical productions, often in collaboration with director Kevin Smith .

From 2005 to 2009 he played the limited but helpful brother Randy on the hit NBC - sitcom My Name Is Earl alongside actor Jason Lee . In 2014, he played Officer Daves in Girls' Night - Sober Too Shy alongside Elizabeth Banks . In 2014 he played a companion of Jordan Belfort's (played by Leonardo DiCaprio ) in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street .

Private life

Ethan Suplee is a Scientologist . He is married to Brandy Lewis, with whom he has two daughters. From originally just under 200 kg body weight, he has now lost more than 90 kilograms (200 pounds) with the help of a diet.
