Samantha Kingsley and her boyfriend Steven jointly rob a sporting goods store. The salesman shoots Steven and is then shot by Samantha. Samantha thinks the wounded Steven is dead and flees with the prey.

Kingsley's car stops working in Death Valley National Park . There Kingsley meets June Darien, a maid who works at a motel nearby. Auto mechanic Jeremy has a crush on Darien, but she only considers him a friend. Kingsley rents a room at the motel until Jeremy repairs her car.

Kingsley reveals her illegal activities to Darien but lies that she waited for Steven in the car when she was robbed. The women get closer. Kingsley calls the man who commissioned the robbery, who once promised Steven $ 20,000 for the stolen items, but Kingsley only wants to pay half of it. When handing over the stolen goods, he only wants to pay $ 1,000, whereupon Darien present threatens him with a pistol and takes all his money.

Steven, believed dead, is notified by the buyer of the stolen property where Kingsley is hiding. He shows up and kidnaps Kingsley, but his car is later stopped by a police officer. In the subsequent shooting, Steven and the policeman are fatally injured.

Darien hopes she can leave the place with Kingsley. On the way, she is robbed by Kingsley, who threatens Darien with a pistol, takes their savings and flees.

Darien later moves away alone.

Rotten Tomatoes wrote that the film was "a gripping crime film with a homoerotic background ".

The lexicon of international films wrote that the film was a “ mixture of a thriller with a woman's movement and a road movie ”. In the film, “ opposing women form a partnership against the men’s world that threatens them ”.

The editors of www.teleboy.ch wrote that the film shows a " hardy mind game with a lot of woman power ".

TV Movie described the film as " without tension ".
