Grace Zabriskie

Grace Zabriskie (born May 17, 1941 in New Orleans , Louisiana ) is an American actress .

Life

Zabriskie's father founded Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop and Lafitte's in Exile , two cafes on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. According to Zabriskie, her family was visited by celebrities like Tennessee Williams , Gore Vidal and Truman Capote when she was a child.

Zabriskie made her film debut in 1979 in a supporting role in Martin Ritt's film Norma Rae . She has worked with directors such as David Lynch ( Twin Peaks , 1990; Wild at Heart , 1991; Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me , 1992; Inland Empire , 2006) and Gus Van Sant ( Drugstore Cowboy , 1989; My Own Private Idaho , 1991; Even Cowgirls Get the Blues , 1993) together. Her portrayal in Philip Ridley's The Passion of Darkly Noon (1995) was also widely praised . Her work includes more than 140 film and television productions.

Zabriskie has been married twice and has one child.
