Jean-Christophe Beck (born November 30, 1969 or 1970 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian film composer .

Live and act

Christophe Beck studied at Yale University until 1992 . He then attended the University of Southern California and took part in a film scoring program.

He began his career in the early 1990s on Canadian television, where he composed the music for several television series. He had his breakthrough with his work on the series Buffy - The Vampire Slayer , for which he backed a total of 58 episodes with music between 1997 and 2001. In 1998 he was awarded an Emmy for this work .

Since the end of the series he has been a busy composer, especially in the field of cinema productions. His work includes more than 140 productions.

Jean-Christophe Beck is also listed under the name Chris Beck. He is the brother of the musician Chilly Gonzales .
