Lloyd Mumba

Lloyd Mumba (born May 5, 1983 , † February 27, 2008 in Lusaka ) was a Zambian football player . The national player played for SSV Ulm 1846 in Germany for two years .

career

Mumba began his career with the Lusaka Dynamos in his home country. In 2001 he moved to Germany for SSV Ulm 1846 in the Württemberg Association League . With the club he managed as a runner-up in the league after two victories in the relegation games against SV Linx promotion to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . He was used as a substitute in the second promotion game. After a year in the German fourth division, he left the club. He then returned to the Lusaka Dynamos before running for the South African clubs Manning Rangers and Lamontville Golden Arrows . Allegedly he also played for FC Brussels . His last club was the Hungarian second division side Lombard-Pápa Termál FC .

Mumba played for the Zambian national team . He played his last international game in September 2006, but according to Patrick Phiri he was a candidate for the squad at the 2008 African Cup of Nations .

In February 2008, Mumba, who had been in Zambia since December 2007, succumbed to malaria .
