Winter Solstice - The hunt for the six signs of the light (Original: The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising ) is an American fantasy film by director David L. Cunningham in 2007 and is based on the 1973 published the second part of the successful, in German room but relatively unknown youth book series winter solstice the British writer Susan Cooper .

As the seventh son of a seventh son, the student with supernatural abilities undertakes various journeys through time , masters various dangers and uncovered a series of mysterious traces that gradually lead him to the signs.

On his mission, however, he is repeatedly disturbed by ambassadors from the dark rider, who in turn look for fragments and repeatedly attack him. With the resurgence of power, the weather conditions on earth are also changing. Increasing weather conditions mean that the situation of the people deteriorates dramatically. Incidentally, you learn that Will has a missing twin brother who disappeared shortly after he was born.

At the end of the film, the “servants of the light”, believed to be dead, wake up, while the happy Will meets his missing twin brother Tom, whom he leads to his family.
