Wendy Crewson
Wendy Jane Crewson (born May 9, 1956 in Hamilton , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress .
Life and accomplishments
Crewson grew up in Winnipeg . She graduated from Queen's University in Drama in 1977 , where she won the Lorne Greene Award for work at the local theater . She later studied at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London .
She has played a number of roles in television films and series since 1980 . She was nominated for the Gemini Award in 1992 for her role in the television film Marriage in Buffalo (1990), and another nomination for this award came in 1994 for her role in the film I Never Go To Heaven (1992). She won the 1998 Gemini Award for her appearance on the 1997 series Ein Mountie in Chicago .
In the action film Air Force One (1997) she played the role of Grace Marshall , the wife of US President James Marshall , played by Harrison Ford . In the film At the End of the Day: The Sue Rodriguez Story (1998) she played the lead role, for which she won the Gemini Award in 1999. For her leading role in the television thriller A Killing Spring (2002), she was nominated for another Gemini Award. She won this award in 2003 for her role in the television film The Many Trials of One Jane Doe (2002).
In 2003, she appeared in several episodes of the television series 24 . For the lead role in the television drama Sex Traffic (2004) she was nominated for the Gemini Award in 2005.
Crewson has been married to actor Michael Murphy since 1988 and has two children.
