Slasher is a Canadian horror - Anthology - Series of Canadian television station Super Channel , which the series produced in conjunction with the American broadcaster Chiller. Directed by Craig David Wallace. Since the second season she appears in North America on Netflix ; in Germany all seasons are broadcast on 13th Street .

action

The first season revolves around the 29-year-old Sarah Bennett, who returns to her hometown after a while and finds herself there in a series of murders. The murders are very similar to the killing of her parents, whom Sarah herself never met. Her parents' killer, Tom Winston, who has been in custody since then, helps Sarah gain insight into the minds of a killer.

In season two, a group of former summer camp attendants returns to the place that is now a winter resort. Before this is torn down, they want to recover the body of a supervisor who killed them nearby. While trapped in the snow with an esoteric community in the resort area, both groups are threatened by a killer.

The third season is about the residents of an apartment house, in whose courtyard one of them was killed by the druid ("The Druid") during a summer solstice party and shortly afterwards a resident killed herself. Exactly a year later the druid goes around again and kills the residents of the house who are guilty of looking away or watching the deaths a year ago. The season plays within 24 hours.

Cast and dubbing

The synchronization of the first season was done by DMT - Digital Media Technologie GmbH in Hamburg. The series has been set to music at TV + Synchron in Berlin since the second season . The dialogue books are written by Klaus Schönicke, while Detlef Klein (season 1) and Bernd Nigbur (since season 2) direct the dialogue.

Development and production

Slasher was created as a limited Slasher series by Aaron Martin after writing two episodes for the first season of Saving Hope in 2012 . He first wrote the script for the first episode, for which Shaftesbury Productions acquired the option in 2014. The Canadian broadcaster Super Channel ordered a season of 8 episodes and the American horror-specialized broadcaster Chiller got into production, which became Chiller's first original series.

The first season, set in the fictional location of Waterbury, Canada, was broadcast between July and October 2015 in Greater Sudbury , Parry Sound and Sault Ste. Marie shot in Ontario . In contrast to the production of other TV series, the entire first season was not shot in individual episodes, but as a complete work. Scenes from different episodes were shot at the same time.

The second season was filmed from February to May 2015, most recently in Orangeville (Ontario) . Filming of the third season began in August 2018.

Charisma
