Leslie Hope

Leslie Hope (born May 6, 1965 in Halifax , Nova Scotia ) is a Canadian actress .

Life

When she was 13, Hope wanted to go to Harvard Law School and become a lawyer. However, since her father was active in the military, the family often moved, including to Italy. Hope stayed at boarding school in the US to complete her pre-college degree. There she changed her career plans and focused on acting. When her school was used as a location for a film shortly afterwards, she got her first role. After Hope met John Cassavetes , the latter helped her to a bigger role in the film Love Streams . After filming was over, Hope stayed in Los Angeles and worked in the various departments of Cassavetes' film company to learn as much as possible about film production. She then played with Matt Dillon in the movie Kansas , as well as in David Beaird's Kopflos durch die Nacht and Oliver Stones Talk Radio .

During her stay in Los Angeles, Leslie Hope started her own theater company, The Wilton Project , which she led for 10 years. With this project Hope tried to create new plays. Parallel to the theater group, she continued to work as an actress, producer and director in various productions.

Leslie Hope was best known for her role as Teri Bauer in the television series "24". She also played with Dr. House guest starred in the episode Final Search from the first season.
