Everest is a two-part mountaineering film from 2007 with William Shatner in a supporting role. The film is based on the Canadian first ascent of Mt. Everest in 1982.
action
In the summer of 1982 a British-Canadian group of mountaineers set out on an expedition to climb Mount Everest .
Already in the base camp there are arguments between the leader Bill March and Roger Marshall. The ascent turns out to be very difficult. The mountaineers have to overcome dangerous crevasses . Part of the team stays in the base camp, while the others tackle the ascent to the next higher camp. During the ascent, four expedition members, including three Sherpas , are killed in an avalanche . For the first time, television will also be reporting live from the events via satellite . In the end, four climbers manage to reach the summit.
