Reviews

Dennis Harvey wrote in Variety magazine on November 30, 2006 that the film had been re-edited for the US theatrical distribution so that the three stories would follow one another. The result is still "poor", but it is an improvement compared to the version shown at the Toronto International Film Festival . The last story, which once seemed particularly weak, benefited particularly strongly from this. The representations of Chloë Sevigny and Lucy Liu are extraordinary. Tom Harting's camera work is one of the highlights of the film.

Stephen Holden wrote in the New York Times on December 1, 2008 that the film was challenging and frustrating. The audience wishes that more time had been invested in developing the “poorly sketched” characters and situations. In other words, the film could have played the same role for the topic of AIDS as Traffic - the power of the cartel for the topic of drug trafficking.

Awards

The film received the Atlantic Canadian Award of the Atlantic Film Festival in 2005 for directing and cinematography . Thom Fitzgerald was nominated for the Directors Guild of Canada Award in 2006.
