Steven Brill

Steven Brill , also Steve Brill , (born May 27, 1962 in Utica , New York ) is an American film director , actor and screenwriter .

Life

Brill graduated from Boston University with a degree in film . He made a name for himself in Hollywood with films like Edward Scissorhands and Mighty Ducks in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 1995 he made his directorial debut in the film Pfundskerle with Ben Stiller . Brill's latest comedy, Drillbit Taylor (2008) with Owen Wilson in the title role, is about three school-leavers who hire a cheap bodyguard because of the threats of the school brawl . In 2013 the episode film Movie 43 was released, for which Brill directed a segment.

The appearance of the Mighty Ducks film series led to the founding of the hockey club The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the National Hockey League in 1993 .
