The four friends Jim, Oz, Kevin and Finch live in a small US town near the Great Lakes , go to high school there and are still inexperienced in sexual experiences with women. After a party hosted by class playboy Steve Stifler, moderately popular classmate Sherman brags about getting a girl to bed. As a result, the quartet makes a pact: by the school prom in a few weeks everyone wants to lose their innocence and sleep with a woman.
The four of them set to work with different methods, but repeatedly run into problems.
The actual main character Jim is caught penetrating a warm apple pie (from which the film title is derived) in the kitchen of his parents' house by his father Noah. He also has to endure his honest attempts to educate him about sexuality . The pretty Czech exchange student Nadia asks him to help her learn history. The rendezvous with Nadia at home it transmits on a proposal Stifler via internet , but sends the link inadvertently to the small circle of friends, but to all school contacts the witness how he very awkward lining up at the Nadia initiated erotic play and twice a experienced premature ejaculation .
Lacrosse athlete Oz believes joining the school choir will get in touch with girls. Here he meets Heather, with whom he immediately falls in love, which is why he also takes on the male solo part of the song that the choir wants to sing at the singing competition. However, Heather misunderstands his approach after the initial flirtation and gives him the pass. Oz decides not to play after a speech by the coach during the last lacrosse game of the season and still sings with Heather and the choir.
Kevin is the only one of the four who already has a girlfriend. But with Vicky he doesn't get beyond foreplay. Only after talking to his older brother and with the help of a special book can he overcome your sexual inhibitions.
Finch meanwhile surrounds himself with the reputation of a daredevil at school, which earns him quite a few inquiries from girls. He bought his reputation for money from Vicky's friend Jessica. When Stifler doesn't get his prom date because of Finch, he decides to take revenge. He uses laxatives to force the Finch, known as "Heimscheißer" ( "Shitbreak" in the American original ), to relieve himself in the girls' toilet, whereby Finch loses his reputation and the advances of the girls again.
Right before prom, Heather forgave Oz after seeing him practicing solo for the school choir singing competition. She also visits him in the evening at his father's diner where he works. Finch is solo, Kevin is at the ball with Vicky, Oz with Heather and Jim with the naive and funny flautist Michelle, who - as Jim puts it - "... is a flute-bobbing turkey". But when it turns out there that Sherman was whistling about his one-night stand at the party, the friends are relieved and now concentrate on the essentials: true love.
At a subsequent party at Stifler's, each of the four finally gets back to his girl and also to what everyone has sworn to each other. Kevin and Vicky as well as Oz and Heather spend the night together. Jim's date Michelle turns out to be sexually totally uninhibited and gives him an unforgettable bed experience. When Jim woke up the next morning and instead of Michelle was holding an inflated rubber animal in his arms, he stated: “I was used. Cool. ”And even Finch finds his lid - in the form of Stifler's mother, which also gave him his revenge.
The film ends with Jim pleasing Nadia with a strip over the Internet. His father happened to see this through a crack in the door, danced down the hall and called Jim's mother.
