During this intimate kiss, the recipient can assume different body positions, for example lying down, sitting or standing with slightly open legs or kneeling with propped up arms (four-footed stance). The giver can insert a finger into the vagina during cunnilingus in order to stimulate several erogenous areas at the same time (see also Graefenberg zone ), whereby the woman reaches an even higher level of arousal and which further increases the likelihood of an orgasm . Cunnilingus can also serve as intense foreplay, which increases the woman's chance of subsequently having an orgasm during sexual intercourse.

Perception of female sexual attractants

Women produce copulins , a possible candidate for a human pheromone . Copulins are mixtures of volatile, short-chain fatty acids ( aliphatic monocarboxylic acids ) that occur in female vaginal secretions depending on the cycle . Copulins were first described in rhesus monkeys by Richard Michael and colleagues in the late 1960s and early 1970s, respectively . Human vaginal secretions are very similar to those of other primates and contain the same volatile fatty acids, but in different compositions. The proportion of the individual fatty acids in vaginal secretions varies over the course of a sexual cycle or menstrual cycle . Substances like copulins could be perceived during cunnilingus and be informative for the woman's willingness to conceive.

There are also studies that show an influence of the duration of cunnilingus on the amount of ejaculate produced by men .

Risks

If a partner is infected with a pathogen (e.g. chlamydia , human papillomavirus (HPV) or trichomonads ) or already has a sexually transmitted disease (e.g. gonorrhea , herpes or hepatitis ), there is always direct contact with Body fluids for the other partner the risk of becoming infected. Recent research suggests a link between human papillomavirus (HPV) , oral sex, and oral cancer.

To protect both sides against sexually transmitted diseases when cunnilingus , lick towels are available in stores or you can easily make them yourself by cutting open a condom.
