Casting Society of America

The Casting Society of America ( CSA ) is the largest American organization of casting directors in the field of film, television and theater and represents the interests of the casting offices. It was founded in 1982 in Los Angeles , California as The American Society of Casting Directors and renamed the Casting Society of America (CSA) in 1984. In 2018, the umbrella organization represented over 800 members in the USA, Canada, England, Australia and Italy. It is the world's largest organization for the professional group of casting directors. Membership in the CSA is voluntary and not compulsory in order to be able to work as a casting director in the USA. Members use the abbreviation “CSA” after their name.

Artios Awards

Since October 1985, the Casting Society of America has presented Artios Awards in 25 categories. The awards ceremony will take place simultaneously in New York City and Beverly Hills .
