John Cho
John Yohan Cho (born June 16, 1972 in Seoul , South Korea ) is an American actor of South Korean origin. He is best known for his roles in American Pie ( 1999 , 2001 , 2003 , 2012 ) and Harold & Kumar . He is also the replacement for Mr. Sulu in Star Trek and he starred in the television series FlashForward .
Life
In 1978, when John Cho was six, his family immigrated to Los Angeles . He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in English in 1996 . Cho taught English at Pacific Hills School in West Hollywood for some time . He is married to the actress Kerri Higuchi.
In 2017 he was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
