Milo - The earth must wait (Original title: Delivering Milo ) is an American comedy film from 2001 . Directed by Nick Castle and written by David Hubbard .

Milo is to be born the son of Elizabeth. The soul doubts whether the world is a place worth living in. The angel Elmore Dahl convinces Milo that he should be born - for which he only has one day. If Milo is not born, it could endanger the world. Meanwhile, Elizabeth, whose pregnancy is taking longer than expected, is depressed.

Rotten Tomatoes praised the cast, especially the "fantastic" portrayal of Albert Finney.

The lexicon of international films wrote that the film was a "well-played romantic fantasy comedy, which, however, suffered from the impetuous staging" . It is "only suitable to a limited extent as a family film, as the subject poses some difficulties for smaller children" .

Nick Castle won the Bronze Gryphon and another award from the Italian Giffoni Film Festival in 2001 ; He also received the 2001 Silver Raven of the Festival International du Film Fantastique, de Science-Fiction et Thriller de Bruxelles .
