Lesley Ann Warren
Lesley Ann Warren (born August 16, 1946 in New York ) is an American actress .
Life
Lesley Ann Warren was in 1965 for the film The Sound of Music and 1978 for Superman as Lois Lane on the cast list. In both cases, however, another actress was given the role.
After a number of television appearances, her film career began in 1967 when Walt Disney cast her in the last film he was still supervising, The Happiest Millionaire , opposite Fred MacMurray and Tommy Steele . Another Disney musical , The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band (1968), gave her the chance to prove her singing talent.
From then on, the convinced vegetarian was in front of the camera for more than 70 feature films, including The Thieving Magpie (1987), The Cop (1988), Baja Oklahoma (1988), Color of Night (1994) with Bruce Willis , The Bible - Josef (1995), Hate - Haß (1997), Love Kills (1998) and Richie Rich - The Christmas Wish (1998). Blake Edwards ' comedy Victor / Victoria (1982) marked one of her greatest successes . Her supporting role as James Garner's water-blonde lover earned her an Oscar and a Golden Globe nomination.
Parallel to her film career, she worked in numerous television series , such as Kobra, you take over , Will & Grace , Crossing Jordan - Pathologist with Profile , A Touch of Heaven and Columbo and, as the eccentric mother of leading actress Teri Hatcher, also in Desperate Housewives . There was also an appearance as a guest star on the Muppet Show .
Lesley Ann Warren was married to film producer Jon Peters from 1967 to 1977 . With him she has a son, Christopher Peters , who is also an actor. On January 16, 2000, she married Ron Taft.
