Nick Castle , actually Nicholas Charles Castle Junior , (born September 21, 1947 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor , screenwriter and director .

Life

He was best known for his role as Michael Myers in John Carpenter's horror film Halloween - The Night of Horror from 1978. Castle also played in the Carpenter film The Rattlesnake after Halloween . In 2010 he stood in front of the camera for the documentary Halloween: The Inside Story by Filipino filmmaker Nick Noble.

As a screenwriter he was u. a. involved in the 1981 film Die Ratterschlange and wrote the script for the musical drama The Sound of the Heart . Castle received a Saturn Award nomination for Best Screenplay for the 1986 drama The Boy Who Could Fly . He also won the Bronze Gryphon for Milo - The Earth Must Wait (2001) and the Regional Council Grand Prize for Starfight . In 2018, Castle plays Michael Myers again in Halloween , on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Halloween film series. It's his first film role since 1986.
