Bridget Fonda
Bridget Jane Fonda (born January 27, 1964 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress .
Life
Bridget Fonda is the granddaughter of Henry Fonda , daughter of Peter Fonda , niece of Jane Fonda and Larry Hagman's godchild.
Acting career
As a five-year-old she had her first appearance in the cinema: In 1969 she was seen in Easy Rider as a toddler in a hippie commune that Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper visited on their trip through the USA. In 1982 she had an extra role in the comedy Partners . While her acting training at the Actors Studio by Lee Strasberg , she played Theater in New York . For the cinema she took on very different roles, from experimental to action film . After she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 1990 for the role as Mandy Rice-Davies in Scandal , she had her ultimate breakthrough with the lead role in the psychological thriller Woman, Single, Young Seeks ... (1992). In 1994 she starred in the love comedy $ 2 million tip alongside Rosie Perez and Nicolas Cage . In Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown (1997), she appeared in a star cast alongside Robert De Niro and Samuel L. Jackson . In 1997 she turned down the title role in the later globally successful television series Ally McBeal in favor of her film career. In 1998 she played the careworn wife in Sam Raimi's A Simple Plan . After her last two movies Kiss of the Dragon and Fireworks in Italian (both 2001) and her marriage, she only had a few television appearances, including in the two-part television adaptation of the fairy tale of the same name, Die Schneekönigin (2002) by Hans Christian Andersen , in which she played the main role.
Personal
Fonda has been married to the film composer Danny Elfman since November 29, 2003 and has a son with him (* 2005).
