Perfume is a song by American pop - singer Britney Spears from her eighth studio album Britney Jean . It was written by Spears, Sia and Chris Braide and produced by will.i.am , Keith Harris and Braide.

In October 2013 it was announced that the song would be released as the second single on the album. The music video was made by Joseph Kahn , who previously made music videos for Stronger , Toxic and Womanizer for Spears.
The song was originally due to be released on November 5, 2013 and was to serve as part of the iTunes pre-order of their Britney Jean album . On Facebook , however, you could hear the song two days earlier. It was then made available for purchase at midnight on November 4, 2013, one day earlier than planned. An acoustic version of the song with Sia was released as part of Pop Goes Live: Volume 3 .
