background

Paris Hilton tried herself as a singer in 2004 and recorded an album for which she hired JC Chasez and Rob Boldt as producers. She canceled her direct record deal with Warner Brothers and founded the record label Heiress Records as a sub-label of Warner Brothers. In 2004, the planned release of the first single Screwed was canceled after unsuccessful test runs in clubs in Miami . In September 2006, Nothing in This World was released as the third single from their debut album Paris . In early June 2007, Warner Brothers' contract with Hilton was canceled due to low sales.

Music video

Hilton shot the music video for Nothing in This World on September 5-6, 2006 in Pasadena and at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in Los Angeles . Hilton hired Scott Speer to direct and produce the video. In the video , Hilton parodies the film The Girl Next Door . The Girl -Star Elisha Cuthbert and Ke $ ha have a cameo in the music video.

The world premiere of the video was on September 22, 2006 on AOL and MuchMusic . Because the scenes were too erotic, many broadcasters took the music video out of their programs early. However , the music video became very popular on the YouTube video portal and reached over 10.5 million views.

Commercial win

Nothing in This World could not build on the success of the debut single Stars Are Blind after the release on September 12, 2006 . The American Billboard Hot 100 was narrowly missed, but through Hilton's self-marketing, Nothing in This World reached 34th place in Germany , 55th in the United Kingdom , 46th in Belgium, 84th in the Netherlands, 32nd in Australia , among others 36 in Sweden and 7th in Finland . The single reached number 12 in the US Dance Charts.
