The Simple Life (German: The Simple Life ) is one from the US -Fernsehsender FOX produced successful reality show in which the heiress to the Hilton fortune Paris Hilton and her friend Nicole Richie , the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie , in various everyday situations, Getting to know simple lives and having to do without the usual luxury.

The first season of nine episodes of the series was first broadcast in December 2003 in the United States. VIVA took over the former ProSieben show on January 10, 2007. The fifth and final season has been broadcast by VIVA on Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. since March 4, 2008.
For The Simple Life: 'Til Death Do Us Part and The Simple Life Goes to Camp One was in Germany voiceover - Synchronization chosen in which you can hear the original sound though, but the sure Spoken dominant is. The previous seasons were provided with a normal synchronization.

The Simple Life - Country Life in Arkansas
The first season The Simple Life was shot in 2003 and carried the press title Country Life in Arkansas in Germany . Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie had to live without money and luxury for 30 days and spent the time on the Leding family's farm. The Ledings had arranged job after job for the girls, but the two were fired everywhere. In America, over 13 million viewers saw the first episode of the show.
The Simple Life 2 - Road Trip
In 2004, due to the success of the first season, a second season was commissioned. Paris and Nicole have to travel from Miami , Florida to Beverly Hills , California with a car and trailer . In an interview with the “Australian Cosmopolitan Magazine” in January 2007, Hilton confirmed the shooting for the fifth season for March 2007 in Malibu (California). The season started on May 28, 2007 in the USA on the TV channel E! Entertainment . After falling audience ratings, the episode sealed the end of the show on August 5, 2007.
Hilton and Richie had to work in a number of fictional camps in this series, including an obese camp and a wellness camp. The season came under strong criticism because many scenes gave the impression of a staged production.
